Undefeated Floyd “Money Mayweather, together with its star, WBC Welterweight World Champion “Vicious” Victor Ortiz will set to slug it out in a meeting of superior boxing prowess at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Two of the world’s most decorated athletes are set to slug it out in a frantic fury with Mayweather who is undefeated and as well as six-Time and five division world champion Victor Ortiz. Ortiz who entered the spotlight when he first captured the WBC Welterweight title over Andre Berto said “I have always said that I would be the first fighter to beat Floyd Mayweather and now that I have my chance, and to do it on a weekend that celebrates the independence of the Mexican people, is an amazing blessing for me”
Golden Boy Promotions and CEO, Richard Schaefer is determined that the Mayweather vs Ortiz fight will be selling in like pancakes. “When Mayweather fights everyone watches as he continues to set the bar for most pay-per-view buys and this fight will be no different” Schaefer said.
Dubbed as a highly touted amateur, Ortiz’s determination and passion of the sport made him a pro in 2004. Ortiz has preserve all the pro’s and con’s of his career and that has made him become a champion in his boxing career.
The two fighters are schedule for a drug testing under the U.S Anti-Doping Agency that includes random blood and urine testing in which Mayweather seriously wants Pacquiao to do also.
The 24-year old welterweight contender is soaking up the spotlight together with Mayweather in which both have continuously toured for the promotion of the fight. Mayweather and Ortiz will be slugging out in the ring on Sept 17.
